Uber! Say it with me now 'UUUUUU-ber'

I was uber productive today! And I am very proud of myself.

The day didn't start out phenomenally, that's for sure. But things improved after lunch. I packed up my daughter and we made a trip to Wal-Mart for some groceries. Returned home with said groceries and set up aforemention daughter with a Yumster cup (Yoplait yogurt with popular cartoon character on the package) while I cleaned up a desk that my husband brought home and then put another coat of paint on a wall of the bathroom! Go me! After that, I decided it was time for coffee. While I did find a small cup of coffee in the refrigerator and was able to have a cup of iced-coffee with my lunch, I still had no coffee for tomorrow morning. So, off to Starbucks!

1lb. bag of Ethiopia Sidamo coffee beans
"Grande, caramel latte. Iced."
"Tall caramel machiato?"
"Iced. Grande. Caramel. Latte."
"Oh! Iced grande latte?"
"Iced. Grande. CARAMEL. Latte."

She made me an iced latte. I brought it back to the counter. Thankfully, someone with more brain cells had taken over and she happily made me the beverage that I had ordered. At this point, I was planning to head over to the ridiculously large Hallmark store across the way, but then I realized I'd left my $3 off coupon at home. Damn. My brother in-law's birthday card will have to wait for another day.
Now to the grocery store.
Why go to the grocery store when I already did grocery shopping at Wal-Mart?
If you've ever done grocery shopping at Wal-Mart, you know their produce sucks! They also don't have the really cool gumball machine that the other store has, which my daughter LOVES. We got a gumball at the start of our grocery adventure and made it through the store without incident. Chicken was $2 off and red sauce was buy one - get one Free!
I returned home to my husband, dog and cat, feeling accomplished.

I made excellent turkey burgers and decent potato salad for dinner. We ate picnic style on the floor in the living-room.

so much dog saliva

I woke up this morning and stepped in a large puddle of dog saliva. This was a less-than-pleasant experience.

I am tired.

We are out of coffee.

I'm currently sipping on tea. Trying ot make it through the morning. Hopefully at hot shower can wake me up enough for me to drive across town to Starbucks and get myself a cup of coffee and pick up a new bag of beans. Yes. I could just drive up the road to the grocery store and buy a bag of beans, but I have a Starbuck's gift card, so I would rather use that and get free coffee. Make sense?

I need to pick up birthday cards for all of the May birthdays I know. I forgot about everyone born in April this year. Sorry guys! It wasn't intentional.

My bank account says there is no transaction history available. This is not cool.

I'm just rambling now.

green paint

I painted my guest bathroom today. I was originally doing a sponging dealy, but it didn't look right with the shower curtain, so I scrapped that idea and decided to go with solid colors. The two larger walls will be green and the two smaller walls will be cream. If I contiue to be a neglectful mother, I should have the painting done tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow is our first fertility test. Okay, not so much 'ours' as it is 'his', but all the same. He was told the results would be in some time next week. Yay! More waiting. Ah well... What's another week, right?

I need more coffee

Not much going on these past few days. My parents are coming for Easter and I need to get my house in order today.

I've been getting to bed way too late, causing me to be incredibly tired during the day. So, last night I got the great idea of going to bed early! I do not recommend this. I laid in bed for 4 hours before I finally gave up and went to the living-room to watch Scrubs. I can't remember what I watched after that. I killed another half hour though and went back to bed. I think I was asleep a little after 1am.
It's not that I wasn't tired; I WAS! But my brain wouldn't shut up. I couldn't stop thinking of everything I need to do and everything I meant to do and didn't, things I'd like to do but probably won't, etc. This is pretty normal for me, but it usually only lasts an hour or two, not four.

Today:
I am going to boil some more eggs for Easter and make sure I have what I need to make Easter dinner. I also need to CLEAN the entire house and make room in the guest bedroom, which means awkwardly lugging boxes and things up a ladder and stuffing them into the newly floored portion of the attic. This evening I'm going out to buy the paint for my guest bathroom. I wanted to buy it yesterday, so I could maybe do some painting today, but that didn't happen.
